More playing with lights and trying to build an extensive library of reference pictures for myself to look back on when making portraits. I never try and copy anyone elses pictures, because it’s useless, I am a different person with a different sort of tools. What I aim for is to use what I have to create the best ever portraits possible in my own little ivory tower.

I wanted to try and see if I could create really soft and flattering lighting for simple portraits. I hanged up a grey linen sheet on top of a doorway, and put the light behind it. To my surprise, it worked even better than I had hoped for! The light I got is supernaturally soft and flattering, will definitely be using it for something!
