I was one of I think 34 people that won a Power Up Month badge for Janurary from Hivebuzz. I was also awarded a Monthly Author badge (for posting daily) and several Weekly Author badges as well.
Trust me, it was not easy writing daily posts for a month with my limited time, as well as leaving comments both inside and outside my blog.
But I did it, and had fun doing it.
The results? A handful of new followers, but almost no change in the level of support or engagement. I had been considering attempting the yearly author badge, but may instead try for another monthly author award in the spring.
I do believe that with a decent-sized pool of Hivians, thoughtful engagement is the way to go. It made a HUGE difference for me back in 2017/18, as back then I would get a new follower with almost every post I published. I think we've lost just enough people along the way that now we're in a rebuilding phase, which is why we need all hands on deck, and if they care about Hive, the whales have got to stop voting only for their close friends, and start supporting others outside their circle. Now.
