When I was in Navy boot camp, I recall when we were all lined up to get our "shots." The medical staff guy told us what they were going to inject us with, but ever the curious and questioning one, I decided to take a look at the labels on the vax containers.

Luckily, I was mostly hidden behind a column and had ready access to the medical cart. I picked the two containers up (we were getting two shots), and read the scientific name of the drugs on the labels.

They didn't match with what he'd told us we were getting.

So I start showing them around to nearby recruits, when he spotted me and shouted "you aren't supposed to be looking at that!"

I asked him why not, since the drug name failed to match what was on the paper...

There was grumbling among the recruits as I started passing them around as he tried to grab them. Luckily, we had the choice to opt out, and I and about half ot the others did so. I didn't know what in the world was going on, but I'm glad I had a curious and questioning mind.
