Interesting little tale, and I can totally see why "Poor Dear" was an apt moniker for this wonderful being who somehow didn't fit in.

It was telling that the Elves bthemselves were much more welcoming of their Human guests than the village was to them. It's a cautionary tale that the way we treat others should match the way we ourselves would want to be treated. Isn't that the truth!
