Jaegermeister isn't all that common around here either. I've had to settle with what I call 'depth charges', a shot (or more) of whisky in a mug of beer (the darker the better)

Sad to say those days are past. I really liked the taste and the buzz but the dent in my pocketbook and the expanding waistline meant I had to stop.
