Laugh and cry
What has made you laugh or cry unexpectedly (or both)? Explain your answers, the situation, why, when, and where.
In the year 2010, 10th of November on a Sunday precisely, just in our living room, a few members from our little community and church, came to the house unexpectedly and after spending some time with us, they broke the news of my Dad's demise to us.
We were told that he died on a Friday on his way back from work. He was hit by a careless driver truck driver who after hitting him ran away and left him to his death.
I cried for months and years with no one to be able to console me, I was hopeless, dejected, and fell into depression because he was my best friend. I shed tears for his death and everyone was afraid when I was going to ever move on.
It took me years to realize that the best thing to have happened to me was the death of my father, his death brought laughter to me and still does.
No matter how painful his death was and still his, I mean, he was my father, I ended up laughing and thanking God and he allowed everything to happen the way it did because if he was to be still alive, I would have been a mess, he would have regretted having me as a child or daughter, he would have regretted fathering me.
To cut the story short, I have had plans even before I finished high school that I was going to be a part of some crazy stuff once I joined college, and although it was some kinda stuff that at the end of the day would have involved the law forces but I was sure that they were never going to be a problem to me.
I felt that with my father's connection up there, I was going to be moving freely without being held by any law forces but unfortunately he passed away even before I finished high school which helped me concentrate more on finding a good well-paid job to feed my family.
