Pride is one of the reasons why most Christians fall. Pride is one of the tools that destroys so many Christian’s life and ministries. It is one of the character that makes fixing our gaze on Jesus no longer the priority of a Christian.
Pride goes before a fall.
Because you were able to do a thing or doing healing through the help of God, you feel you’ve arrived and no longer want to go to God for refreshing. If our eyes fails to fix on Jesus and fix on our own self-righteousness, self-praise, self-ability, we have failed and pride has set in.
When pride set in into the life of a Christian, it is more difficult to fix our eyes on Jesus because we become a boss of our own and begin to praise ourselves.
Let’s not forget that God is a jealous God and will bring down every one who because of pride has refused to submit to Him.
