For us to know God personally, we must have a knowledge of these:
- God loves us and offers a wonderful plan for our lives.
- All of us has sin and our sins has separated us form God.
- Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin; so through Him, we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.
- We must individually receive Jesus Christ as our Saviour and Lord. i.e we must receive;
JOHN 3:16
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Vs. 16
- His love for us
- His plan to give us eternal life.
PHILIPPIANS 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; Vs. 10
The important thing that a man should do is to re-establish his relationship with God.
HOW TO KNOW GOD PERSONALLY
- Read your Bible
- Study and meditate on His Word
- Pray without ceasing
- Have a personal time with God
- Have faith in His word
- Put your trust and hope on Him
- Obey and keep His commandments
