Hi everyone,
This is my first attempt at a #ulog, so I hope I'm doing this right. I would prefer to do it on video, but unfortunately I'm stuck with a nasty cough at the moment and feel like I may cough up a lung while talking. Can you imagine? Sounds gross.
So from what I understood, ULOGS are supposed to be about our thoughts during our day, our feelings, or whatever comes to our mind. Today I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. I thought I would have my energy back to go spar at the gym, but earlier I got all gassed out from just walking up the stairs. I've been sick for the past week. Not bed-ridden, but somewhere in between "I feel like I'm drying" and "I'm OK, I think I'm feeling better". Every night when I thought I would feel better, I woke up feeling like shit again the next day. Now I'm having this dry and painful cough, which is a nightmare. That's what lung cancer must feel like. I'm happy I don't smoke cigis anymore...although I do indulge every once in a while with a glass of wine when I'm in a social setting.
So yesterday was my 8th wedding anniversary! Can you believe that we both only remembered it when we went to bed at night? And just because I happened to stumble upon a friend's post on Instagram who got married on the same day. As I was typing the word "congrats", it hit me!
I thought FAAAAK! Who forgets their wedding anniversary??? I guess insanely busy people with 100 things on their mind LOL.
That doesn't mean that I won't celebrate it (it's only one day late, who cares!). I put this picture here as a token of my appreciation. I love this man! 8 years later, not much has changed.
So what else is new?
My colleague quit not long ago, and another colleague is moving to the UK. This means more work, but luckily for me I have an awesome sister in law (@livepresentlee) who I'm training at the moment. It's a breath of fresh air to work with her. Not only does she learn fast, she's family and there's nothing better than family to work with!
And finally, something that really disturbed me today, was when a colleague of mine told me that her dog had died. He got beaten to death because he was barking too much at night. He didn't die right away, but must have succumbed to internal injuries, and it lasted an entire day until he passed away. I can't understand how humans can be so cruel to animals. The other day I saw a video (without wanting to see it) about some guy who lit a dog on fire, just for fun. Sometimes I think we are parasites on this planet, and the world would be so much better off without us. But then there's this awesome vegan community who restores my faith in humanity, and I hope this group grows exponentially. I truly enjoyed watching @ura-soul's rant today about people who think that vegans push their beliefs on them. You can watch it here
That's it for today.
