Thank you for your comment. Billy Wilder along with Diamond were perfectionists and made real comedy. I have seen most of their films, except Fedora, I believe. But ever since I read Coe's book about Wilder, I have put it in my watchlist.
Of course, that doesn't mean that all the cast and the crew weren't marvellous (as I mention that in the post)
I loved all the actors involved, but in my heart there is a special place for Joe E. Brown.
