Who should you worship? The RNG God or Fortuna?
To be a devoted player for almost 2 years, witnessing every stage of this game development, I can confidently say: No.
Today, we need even more luck than before.
Splinterlands is a game perfectly built for hardcore grinder.
Not that degenerate grinders who played 24hrs non stop in the basement under their parents' house.
You will be punished with low Energy Capture Rate, making your grind effort less productive.
Smart grinders will schedule their playing time to simultaneously align to their Daily Rewards while keeping an eye for side-hustling on Tournaments and Cards Trading.
Most of Champion Tier players stick to this routine religiously.
But, it's not a math.
Because not every one of them getting that Gold Foiled Legendary cards!
They may walk the same walk and fight the same fight--hell, grind the same grind--but they won't get the same rewards!
In the end of the day, you'll beg to one of these puny Gods.
No!
As an old school grinder, I understand this and learned to accept this since forever.
I still play Diablo III seasons till now. It's a legendary game known for its grinding culture.
You could spent 10 hours to grind Solo GR and maxed your gears, or you may already spent 1000 hours and getting crappy rewards.
Nothing is certain.
This uncertainty is the beauty of these games.
I write this to help new players to understand the nature of grinding.
Lower your expectations, play to enjoy, to have fun and consider the rewards as bonus.
It's a boolean, you either have it or not.
And it keeps rolling all the time, every thing could happen!
Sometimes you just need to laugh at it and move on.
Let's see what happen to me when I open 21 Dices:
I spent almost $30 in DEC only to got 50% loss on value. 😂
It could happens to you, too!
I laughed on it.

Then I open this latest season Rewards:
And now you're laughing.... at me.

In the past two weeks, I got some booster packs from daily reward chest and mystery potion. I also got some from this season rewards (it's not 100% trash, you can't stop pitying me now!).

So I decided to open this Untamed Booster Packs too.
and look at the result:
Some Gold Foiled and Yodin Zaku! 🤣
See, this LUCK thingy is weird and funny.
So, let's laugh on it.
It's not bad luck or failure that kill us, our expectation does.
Drop your expectations, stop that jealousy when somebody just flexing their Gold Foiled Legendary drop in their only 12 chests of daily rewards.
