Pray for inspiration.
Find a piece of wood.
Carve it into a little ship.
Create a rough sketch.
Use your knife to whittle.
Watch as the wood takes shape.
Hew it to your will.
Gouge out the upper deck.
Smooth down the side.
Cut out your tiny sail and flag.
Paste this little flag to the mast.
Paint the hull with a single hair brush.
Pour your heart into every detail.
Bestow a name upon her.
Swim out into the ocean, just beyond the tide.
Release your creation into the water.
Pray it is not swallowed by the waves.
