Would carry on with no
Care for the new season?
Or would the silent room
Envelope and choke you?
Would you get a new job,
New friends, and new beginnings?
Would you stop singing?
Would you stop writing?
Would I slip away like
An early exit from a broadway show?
Or would I leave you empty
Like a boat without a sail?
You would still float,
But where would you go?
And where would I go?
But if I left today
What would I do?
