Just as life in general is a round trip, so is my passage through it. I go back and forth and at each step I discover new details that nourish and give meaning to this journey.

Now we are going together from Cuman谩 in the state of Sucre to Caracas in Venezuela (400 KM) and back again.
The photographs were taken with my phone camera, with the car in motion and often with reflections that obscure the reality a little.
I took approximately 400 pictures and I have just made a first filter where 183 were left.
While I explain these details I continue filtering and at the end we will keep the indispensable ones.
What is important is the set of elements that we create in each journey. It is mainly the people with whom we interact and who provide that special word at the right time.
It matters the environment, the landscape, what we like and what bothers us because not everything is perfect.
It affects the state of the road, deteriorated and full of holes that make it difficult to move.
The hours and days you invest in this journey are important, and I want to capture those moments and do something so that they are not lost in oblivion.
The atmosphere counts, the clouds that accompany you, the glances that cross and the smiles you share.
It becomes necessary to observe how our people live, and to understand without words the lack of water and other shortages.
Let no one tell you about it, just look and listen around you.
Every bend in the road nourishes the journey. It is nourished even by that thought that flew away when a yellow tree met my gaze.
I must explain that I simply want to share what I saw, and what I felt. I do not judge and everyone can express what they think of this beautiful and painful journey at the same time.
During the tour we came across street vendors selling all kinds of handicrafts, coffee, homemade sweets and food such as bananas, cambures, cocoa, cassava. You can also see the boy selling small morrocoyes and the girl selling iguana eggs and guama.
Each of these people looks to the land and the sea for their livelihood. The road that links them to the city is their hope for a better livelihood.
Another interesting ingredient are the signs we come across that tell us what we are like.
From here you can see how the landscape changes as we approach Barlovento.
Barlovento is a sub-region located in the Miranda state of Venezuela. It is the conurbation of the municipalities Acevedo, Andr茅s Bello, Bri贸n, Buroz, P谩ez and Pedro Gual. It is known for its people and its Afro-American dances.
And now we only have to approach the entrance to the capital.
As soon as you enter, the atmosphere changes, you breathe the air of a big city, with manicured gardens and somewhat exaggerated displays of patriotism.
I remember the feeling that overwhelmed me when I was a child and arrived in Caracas. I felt a great emotion to reach my place of origin, today I feel more of the world, of the people, of the corners.
After a few formalities that we came to do, the next day we had to get ready to start our return trip.
We had to take again the national highway to the east of the country and retrace our steps, taking care of every detail.
Traveling in the other direction I could observe that the natural light changes and the vegetation shines in all its splendor.
Here I am, camera in hand showing my country.
Do you want an artisanal hot pepper with the chili peppers that the land provides?
And here it is our turn to speak with sadness about the contamination that represents
We already know how necessary it is for a territory to generate energy, but only this question crosses my mind. If with so much wealth my country is in these conditions, wouldn't it be better to look for alternative solutions?
Closer to home, subtracting kilometers to this trip, I still have to show you the last stage: The road that connects the state of Anzoategui with the state of Sucre is beautiful for its landscapes. The sea is present although it is very difficult to show because of the uncomfortable road.
At the end, the rain dismissed us with a salute.
The state of Sucre, with its eternal blue of great poets, welcomes us with a view of the sea. We are proud to arrive to the land of Andr茅s Eloy Blanco, Jos茅 Ramos Sucre and Cruz Salmer贸n Acosta among other great poets.
Thus we culminate this tour, with the welcome offered by the emblematic sculpture of the "Indio de Cuman谩" that welcomes locals and visitors.
This trip only intends to show our reality, the wild nature that surrounds us and the authenticity of what we build and destroy as human beings.
