When I said on this post some days back that Granit Xhaka may be on his way out of headship of Arsenal team, you may not have taken my prediction with seriousness. But today, the prediction has come to pass if the current club news coming from Arsenal is anything to go by.
People shouldn't take certain privileges for granted. That you're made a club captain doesn't mean there is no other capable hand that can hold that post; you're just privileged. You should therefore be grateful, and take the opportunity with every seriousness it requires. That's how to make progress and continue to sustain it.
You definitely cannot make progress as a leader by allowing your negative emotions to take better part of you. Because once that's the case, it may initiate the process to your downfall and you may not have the opportunity to correct your mistakes again. That's life, and that is how it works.
When Xhaka reacted irresponsibly against the fans, the very soul of the club, I immediately issued my warning that he can't get away with it just like that. I expected disciplinary measure from the club because I know the fans are definitely going to get back at him in the way he may never thought possible. Exactly that played out!
Just yesterday, the chief coach of Arsenal FC came out to confirm that Xhaka has been stripped off his captaincy of the team. In his place has been name Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang as the new Arsenal captain. Congratulations!
