When we say Debut, we are all familiar with 18 numbers, the 18 roses, gifts, shoes, candles and many more. A transformation of a teenager to womanhood. But these days happened. Differently, this generation of children gave not only the 18th but also the seventh birthday debut; this was also the reason for inactivity, as best friend duty. My best friend's daughter, my godchild, celebrated her 7th birthday last January 1, 2023. From preparation to execution, she called it an "Emergency", so I did reply to the call. Well, I always pay my debt; I have an obligation to my best friend, for she was there when I needed her the most, and I was also with them during the preparation time.
It's been common for me to plan and do some programs on a debutant's special day. There was no difference from the 18th to the 7th birthday, just that instead of 18, I changed it to 7. Simple as it might seem but end, it's not. There was a lot of pressure in preparation and expenses, so she named it an "emergency call' she wanted to make the day memorable for her daughter and my godchildren. She was my favourite godchild. The reason is that she always looked at me like a second parent and always had respect and love. I also practised my fatherhood skills with her from the moment she was born, and I was also there for the best friend duty.

The day of the seventh birthday has been adjusted from January 7, 2023, to January 1, 2023. More convenient as her uncle and aunties were still on vacation over work also holidays, yet there were pros and cons. Some guests who were invited could not make the day because of also gathering, yet the date is final.
So, on the night of December 31, 2022, we are all busy not for the new year but preparing for the Debut, such as the venue just in their home ground, the souvenirs, and especially the program flow. As we waited for New years to come, we stayed waken the whole night. But also, not me. I got home at 11 for my family dinner, too; acceptable for Filipino family get together at 12 MN for Christmas, and the new year is a must.
I remember myself wishing as I am one of the 7 Yellow Bill hoped was a "Happy Family" they might not be complete, but they are at least happy.

Here are the shots during her photoshoots. I was afraid for her grandma to approach me to carry the debutant from the dressing room to the venue, the soil was wet, and the dress must not have had small dirt on her dress. I am afraid carrying her while walking on the muddy ground could ruin the whole program because of me, and I won't let that happen for sure.
And her mother and father. Her mother is my cousin, and her father is also a close friend of mine, so really, they have been looking eye for me. I don't know, but the set-up of the parent at my age right now gives me lessons and warnings. They are not in good condition.
Here is a glimpse of the venue; the whole day and night of the new year had fully rained, and lucky the program started at 2:30 PM, and the shower of rain stopped allowing the celebration becomes more enjoyable, especially for her little friends and guest.
And the 7th Debut is for children her age, and this was the looks for the guest and representative in her seventh covenants.

And the gifts she received
I substitute the host, so I only have pictures at the end of the event. But the program was full of joy and love, especially for the debutant as she has the days of particular persons.
The 7th Birthday debut represents the number 7 as a lucky number charm. As her years of seven, she was now grown up with beauty and grace, full of love with both the families of her mother and father side.
Suppose comes the time that I will be a parent and will have my daughter's 7th birthday. Indeed, I also celebrate the same, as I witnessed how happy she had the whole day. It is just once in life experience, not only an 18th birthday but now the 7th lucky number.
Having this kind of celebration was expensive, yet thinking the thought and feeling of the beautiful girl were worthy, the loved and joy seen on her face.
