My friend is an artist and he is a shooting a series about ordinary people and their views on life. The series is called Portraits and the next episode should be about me. We went yesterday filming, but the weather was not in our favour, it was raining like crazy. We filmed only very little of content. We should have gone filming today, but my friend got ill from the yesterday's weather. The series is in Czech language, but i will share with you some of the text translated to english. The text is philosophical and represents my view of life, which was morfed by many great philospohers, artists and movies.
One of the things that quite changed my view of life was weed. I started to listen to different kind of music, and enjoyed another type of entertainment. I started to revel in being different, to be a rebel to reject the system. I hated when my parents told me, you need to study, you need to accomplish something. What does it mean to study a lot? It means to be able to repeat without errors something that was told us by an authority.
This system suppresses creativity, creativity can exist only in the environment where people just do not repeat what was said by an authority, and that is there, where mistakes can be made. The state wants us to be passive observers, and we do not have any choice other than purely symbolic act of voting.
I like learning more about the world, although i can't ever truly get to know it. My experience is just a representation of the brain, it's just a mirror of reality, if some reality exists in the first place. Whatever the truth is, it doesn't really matter, since it doesn't change anything.
Bike extends our legs, a hammer extends our hands and computer extends our minds. Programming language is language like any other, it's just a bit more primitive. It's one-sided, you talk to the machine and it just stupidly follows your orders.
Sometimes i feel like i am someone observing my consciousness. Like i am not making the choices, i am just some kind of another person looking at what i am doing. What awaits us after death, is the same thing we experienced before we were born. It is said, that the dream is real as long as you are dreaming, consider the same thing about life. We can choose whatever we want to do in life, because there is no inner purpose. Our life is our's to create. In life you get a pack of crayons, it can be 8-pack or 16-pack, but the important thing is what you do with the crayons, don't worry about drawing within the lines, i say draw outside them, draw outside the paper.
Creation comes out of frustration, effort and imperfection. What does prevent human to reach anywhere near there real potential? Is it laziness or fear?
