Hi steemians,
i am in a tent in a camp, we are going to hike in the mountains tommorow. The other people from our group already sleep, but i feel like not sleeping yet. There is no mobile connection at all, so i am not sure when i am going to post this. I thought a little bit about margin lending, my friend lends some bitcoins to margin traders and he told me he gets 0.1% per day and it's almost with no risk, because the trade would automatically liquidate if the trader is getting to a situation in which he would not have enough money to repay. 0.1% does not seem like very much, but its compounded in short periods of time, margin traders are short time traders. Let's say the interest would be compounded daily, so in a year it would be 1,01^365 = 1,37 that would be 37% interest in a year considering you get 0.1% every day and reinvest it immedieataly. I guess there would be many catches, so to be conservative if you divide it by 3 you still get more than 10% in a year and you still have your money in bitcoin, so on top of that your bitcoins appreciates. Anyway the biggest risk is in having the bitcoins on exchange for long periods of time, which moght be risky, during hardforks you would not be able to choose which chain to use by yourself, your account might get hacked, the dxchange might get hacked or something else could happen. I think i am going to give it a try, did someone of you steemians try it? What do you think? Let me know in the comments :) thx for reading.
