Actually, while you do not want to be charged for spam, it dawned on me that actually spamming the blockchain is probably the best way to counteract ideological, malicious or programmatic flagging.
I understand that you likely want to keep a good reputation and do not want to spam. But it is an interesting idea, that people could spam the blockchain defensively to counter downvote-based censorship. Perhaps someone could create an app service that when a post was flagged to the point of diminished visibility that the post would be automatically re-posted 10x. Sure, you could have it re-posted once, but would that be enough to motivate them to stop?
I am not sure it would motivate them to stop. However, if every time a post was flagged it got re-posted ten times, now, that just might change behavior. After all, in order to prevent it the downvoter would have to expend a decent amount of RCs, and while bots controlled by Steemit have a lot of RCs, if a spamming culture came into vogue as a response to flagging, it could eventually be too many accounts to handle.
