As of today, you’re 57 years old. Well, I just did some math if you graduated Gloucester High School in 1983, you were probably 18years old then….

I’ve had a lot of memorable birthdays, mine and that of my loved ones but I think my favorite will still be my most recent birthday (which was last month). I came up with a project to reach 2 orphanage homes in my city and I needed support so I designed a flier stating what the homes needed and I also sent messages with the addresses and link for those who might want to verify or volunteer. I drew a budget and I had my expectations. But, what I didn’t expect was the turn out. I had a truck full because my people blew my mind with donations: funds, sacks of clothes, provisions, books… my expectations were exceeded! I mean, i didn’t even plan for response I got so my plans changed immediately 😂. We eventually reached 3 homes as opposed to the initial 2 because we had a lot to give.
I had volunteers too…it was really amazing and I don’t think I’ll ever get over it. The smiles on the faces of those children? I’ll forever be grateful that I got to do and experience that.
That’s still my favorite memory…. I hope to have more to beat this one.
