A normal free market cycle has expansion and contraction (optimism and pessimism), euphoria as the market reaches new heights and desperation at the lows. The lows are painful but necessary to eliminate the excesses in the markets.

For quite a while (years) it seems like the FED and the government are conspiring to keep people from the pain associated with the draining of the excesses of the markets.

I realized the system was broke when the first bailouts occurred. Yes, it would have been painful for a lot of people when the big banks failed, but it was necessary in a free-market system. The bailouts, voted for by both political parties, just ensured that the rich could get richer and the middle class would be squeezed.

I am certain there will be pain ahead when the economy over-doses on free money.

On that cheery note,
Have a great weekend!
Steem on,

Mike
