Completely agree with your comments. There is definitely trouble ahead.
But I am unsure exactly how the central banks and the governments will react.
The derivatives market has kept a lid on gold and silver prices. Will the derivative markets fail at some point? The ability to dump millions of ounces of imaginary metals on the market seems like it would fail at some point.
Will central banks continue to print currency out of thin air and pump up the stock markets? It is highly likely there will be a coordinated effort by central banks. As far as cycles, I am not sure there has ever been a financial cycle like this in history. The coordinated effort by central banks may throw off Charles Nenner's financial cycle.
But then there is human nature. At some point one country or a block of countries will separate from the pack, either economically by going on a type of "gold standard" or by war. It is the human nature factor that I think will break the current status quo.
At some point I do think there will be a return to the norm. It will be painful for those not prepared. But the most frustrating part is "when" this will happen. As long of money printing can go on without dire consequences, the markets could be inflated much more.
No matter what happens between now and the return to the norm, it is certain that we live in interesting times.
Have a great week!
Steem on,
Mike
