Ulog: 01/07/2018

This past week have been filled with different events in my country and for me personally. I will pick some of these events and talk about them.

Football
The third match filled Nigerians with hope. The hope that we can qualify for the next round.

After they lost the first match, I started doubting that hope. I felt they didn't prepared well enough for the competition.

One of the things I detest is tension.
If they had won their first and second match,then the third match will have been a bonus. And there won't be a need to hope on penalties and start blaming officials for being unfair or so.

So many persons were disappointed in the Nigerian team for losing their third match. I was disappointed from the first match and I had prepared myself for the worse scenario. So when they failed their third match, I was not suprised nor hurt.

I hope they make adequate preparations for the next world cup.

Cakes
I baked a nice birthday cake for dynamicshine. The process was fun because I learnt additional recipes. I hope to see her own baked cake soon.

Rain
This week have been filled with days of rainfall. I like cool weather compared to the hot weather. Just that the roads get flooded and muddy.

Different Views
One of the lessons I picked from this week is that there are two sides to a coin.
We all have different views about life and there is this tendency to move closer to persons with similar views.

Despite different views about life and its issues, tolerance is key in order to live in peace with one another.

Today
The rain water was very helpful this morning for me and my family. We were able to use it to prepare for church.
Electricity came up this morning and we boiled water via electric kettle.

Today's service was warm and calm. A woman asked me to carry her baby for few minutes while she went to sing in the choir.

The baby was so cute and beautiful. I felt an inner peace while I held her. When she looked at me, her eyes were so bright and full of beauty. Children are indeed blessings from God.
