She said:

A lady that came to our office- a bank few years ago for a job interview. She was smart, brilliant, articulate yet I didn't employ her. The post she was needed for was in accounting department.
She came across as confused to me. She studied health science and had post graduate degrees in management, advertising. I could not just employ her.

I learnt something from her. Consistency in ones career is key to succeeding.
Find an area you are good at and pursue it: Discover that aspect you can excel at and go for it. Pick a career and follow it through. Let your degrees be in line with your career.

A senior colleague of mine wanted to be a Lecturer in philosophy. After his first degree, he went for his masters in philosophy and he is currently doing his doctorate in philosophy. He is being consistent with his dream and career.

Know what you want: There are times you will come across different advice from friends and families. Having a firm decision on the path you want to follow in career or business will go along way to avoid distraction from what people are saying.

Follow your passion: Doing what you love can make your job look like a hobby. The happiness that comes with feeling fulfilled is very refreshing.

When I discovered my passion was teaching. I was happy. This is a career that will improve me in the long run. I will be able to have time for my family when I get married in future. An avenue to be part of my future kids' educational learning process. It's also an avenue to interact with kids, something I love doing.

Family and friends have tried to persuade me to go for bigger jobs. Jobs that pay higher than teaching jobs. But, I am sticking with my decision to follow this career. The joy and fulfilment it brings is refreshing.

Go for your dreams, pursue it. Follow your passion . Whatever, you find yourself doing if it's in tune with your dream. You will excel in it.

If you are good at your tailoring business, you don't need to add another skill before you make it in life.
Be the best that anyone can find. Lead your life. Be in charge.

Thanks for reading my blog.
