Finally, I powered up!!
Today is the second power-up day for the year but it is my first power-up day on hive blockchain.
Exactly 7 days ago I made a post that I had no idea I would get so much upvotes on the post. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw the post reward was that I was going to power up everything immediately after I get my payout.
Going through my feed this morning I came across 
Your reputation must be above 39 and below 70,
Your total Hive Power (before the 1st) must be more than 100 and less than 8000,
You must power up at least 10 Hive on February 1st.
I realized I was more than qualified with a reputation of 62 and A total hive power of 275 as at the time of the post, I also had more than 10 hives in my wallet so I was eligible to power up.
This was an exciting moment for me because the very first time I remembered about hive power-up day, I had just joined hive a few weeks back before November 1st powerup and I wasn't qualified to participate, And coincidentally the payout I was expecting to use for the powerup was going to happen today.

I saw the payout and powered up the 50% HBD part of the payout since the other 50% was received as HP already.
I converted to a hive and powered up 51HP. Now I am at a total of 326HP, it may be small but for a newbie on the hive with just about 3 months and some weeks' experience of the blockchain, I think I deserve a small pat on my back.
I believe I could do more, that is why for the next few months till my 6th month on hive which will be on the 13th of April all my posts will be a 100% HP, I don't know how much HP I would be expecting at the end but if I am being realistic and with consistency, I hope to attend the 500HP mark and possibly more

I also got my Hive power-up badge today after the power-up and I feel great about it all. Cheers to taking baby steps to achieve greater things on hive.
