When I say to people that learning is something I enjoy doing they see me as weird and an obvious geek or a nerd.
Do you think it's weird too?
I know hobby as an activity to pass time and enjoy while at it and if I enjoy learning and taking courses and it helps me pass time too then it is my hobby.

Unlike the traditional hobbies, dancing, playing games, football, cooking and every other hobby we use to write in our primary school easy, learning is vast and unique.
With those other hobbies, most of the time we already know what we are doing, but learning , feels like a new challenge, a completely new environment, not knowing what to expect or how the outcome will be. It's fascinating, maybe I enjoy learning because i get to overcome challenges, find solutions and the thrill I get doing it.
I can decide to develop a new interest today and the best way to do that is by learning or I can decide to develop an old skill and I can do that by learning.
As a stay home mum, just being at home doing nothing can be frustrating. The major adventure I get, that I enjoy doing most times is playing with my baby when he is awake, some days it can be tiring and besides it would be wrong to just revolve my life around him alone. I knew I needed to fix that somehow, I tried watching movies and series, I downloaded a lot telling myself when he is asleep when I am free, I will have my Me time, Netflix, and chill but since then it has taken me over 4 days to finish a movie because I am not so psychic about it.
Surfing the internet a while back, I saw a post online about women in Tech initiatives in Lagos state and some other partners, that have decided to give scholarships to women to study tech-related courses online, I applied immediately. I saw another one too a free online course too for tech that looked very promising and free too, and I applied.
Trust me as far as it's learning and it's free count me in馃槀
I chose different courses for each of them and surprisingly I was picked for the two courses and both courses started simultaneously, although one is at weekends and the other during the week. I have my calendar full of projects, classes, and tests but I couldn鈥檛 be more happy馃槂 .
Although it has been taskful juggling the two courses, didn鈥檛 expect to get picked for the two but i kinda like that i was selected for them. Even though i barely even have time for my phone these days, but i made sure to make time for hive, because i get to share all the experiences and learning with you.
It's exciting for me to know I can learn whatever I want, how I want to even though people see learning as a big task, I find it enjoyable.
