Con música he bailado, he llorado, he reído, he recordado, he besado, he amado. Con música he vivido. candidman

Hello friends!
With music I have danced, I have cried, I have laughed, I have remembered, I have kissed, I have loved. With music I have lived. candidman
Since I was a child, music has been an important part of my life. I love to sing and listen to melodies, same that, in many occasions have been my spiritual support. Yes, and when that has happened, I have remembered a biblical story that talks about King Saul and David. It tells that every time an evil spirit came to bother him David with his harp drove him away, with the melodies of his heavenly music he gave him back his peace.
And it doesn't matter how much music we have listened to, nor the style of it; what is important is that the impact it has on us is real, on a lesser or greater scale, depending on each person.
Moisés, one of my twins who has autism, suffered episodes of nervous breakdowns in which he would ask me, what's wrong with my mind mom? or my mind is crazy! and despite the visits to the child psychiatrist and although they were not followed, the crises continued and when they occurred he had a very bad time and therefore, us.
In one of those crises, I hugged him and began to sing "Con mi Burrito Sabanero", with a slower rhythm than what corresponds to that song and with a subtle, relaxed tone of voice and while I was singing I was rocking him. I remember thinking "It's like magic!", as he began to calm down until he became totally quiet.
Some time later, while I was writing and listening to soft music (something that helps me to concentrate), I felt someone sitting on the couch, behind me and with the corner of my eye and almost without moving I turned around and there he was, lying on the couch, quiet and calm. Without turning around I asked him how he was feeling and he said "Good, mommy" and I was happy once again.
Music has been my companion and ally on days when I feel the strength to go on is diluted in the morning coffee. I feel like the best way to call it is "Energy," because that's really the feeling I get when I listen to it.
There is nothing more enlivening and nothing that fills a human being with more inner peace than music...
The art of music is divine and effective. It is the nourishment of the soul and spirit. Through the power and charm of music the spirit of man is uplifted. It exerts a wonderful influence and effect upon the hearts of children, for their hearts are pure, and the melodies have great influence upon them. The latent talents with which the hearts of these children are endowed will find expression through music. You should, therefore, strive to make them very proficient; teach them to sing with excellence and in a manner that will impress. It is the responsibility of every child to know something of music, for without the knowledge of this art one cannot properly enjoy the melodies of instruments and voices. Likewise, it is necessary for schools to teach it in order that the souls and hearts of the pupils may be enlivened and filled with rejoicing, and their lives enlightened with joy.

For many, music is joy, for others it represents expression when they feel words fail to come out. For me, it also means peace in the storm @esthersanchez
