In order to be unique, different from others, one must always be different and unpredictable atimes. Back when I was little I was very picky about the kind of color my clothes should have and the only person who bought the wrong color of clothing for me was my dad😅. In the end I don't wear the clothes which is why my mum gave them out to children of my age gap.
I saw this post a few days ago. Immediately I subscribed to the community because I love to do things in a simple way. Anything complicated, complex, I let go or I ran away. This also applies to every aspect of my life. So for the post idea of week 2, I will be choosing option one to talk about which is ;
"Do you prefer monochrome colors over floral? Why and what are the benefits of keeping your outfits monochromatic, or why do you prefer floral?"
I chose option one because it's what I can talk about and color comes first to me whenever I want to pick or buy clothes. For me, I prefer monochrome colors over floral which is weird because most ladies always opt for floral over monochrome. I fell in love with monochrome color when I was a teenager because patterns and different multi-colored looks are complex to me and I am not good at worrying about what is trending in the fashion world. I love monochrome colors because I see them as strong colors that support visual communication to an object or a person. Though monochrome colors are also seen as boring, or colorless, I don't see it that way. Monochrome colors are unique, strong, and different from what everyone are used to.
There is a saying, "Monochrome is simplicity, simplicity is peace". Like I said earlier, I love to keep everything about my life as simple as possible including my relationship with people. For my outfits, I love to go monochrome always because they single me out in a different and unique way. A fashionista once told me that monochrome outfits are meant for petite ladies, but I say no because monochrome outfits fit all. Monochrome outfits make me appear taller, give me a slimming effect considering my body type and it also gives me a classic and elegant look. Also, why I still stick to monochromatic outfits is because of my job and when I appear with a flower outfit, it doesn't go well and makes me look unserious.
Monochromatic outfit choices have really made my life stress free and simple. The benefits of why I go for monochromatic outfits are; they help me blend well at work, it simplifies planning the day's activities for me and are less subject to trends because monochromatic outfits are always trending no matter what. It can't be outdated. When you wear a color it's not because it's currently in fashion but because it suits you. Also it is easy to accessorize them, easy to get from the market and I can easily customize it to my taste. Don't get me wrong, I love flowers but not for designs on outfits.
This is my response to the Post idea of the week. Invite @kemmyb to participate 😁.
