Hello friends, welcome, once again to Venezuela, its music and its interpreters. As we all know, the bolero is one of the most popular musical genres in the world. When it comes to singing and interpreting a bolero there are no valid borders, since it has penetrated the entire world geography, reaching the most distant corners. This is how, throughout Spanish-speaking America, the bolero is part of the musical culture of each of its peoples and our country, Venezuela, is no exception. That is why, this time, the musician Lu铆s Enrique Gonz谩lez accompanies me. This renowned Venezuelan double bass player, guitarist and cuatrista is passionate about bolero, good lyrics and beautiful melody. So much is this that, for Gonz谩lez, the best way to express love is through a good bolero because, for this popular musician, the bolero is the most sublime expression of what love is. In this session we perform the well-known bolero "Me missing you" by the Cuban composer Jos茅 Antonio Mendez (1927-1989). It is a very particular and heartbreaking version very much in the style of Venezuelan musicians.
Hola amigos, bienvenidos, una vez m谩s a Venezuela, su m煤sica y sus int茅rpretes. Como todos sabemos, el bolero es uno de los g茅neros musicales que m谩s se canta en el mundo entero. A la hora de cantar e interpretar un bolero no existen fronteras que valgan pues, este ha penetrado toda geograf铆a mundial, llegando a los rincones m谩s lejanos. Es as铆 como, en toda la Am茅rica de habla hispana el bolero forma parte de la cultura musical de cada uno de sus pueblos y nuestro pa铆s, Venezuela, no es la excepci贸n. Es por ello que, en esta oportunidad, me acompa帽a el m煤sico Lu铆s Enrique Gonz谩lez. Este reconocido contrabajista, guitarrista y cuatrista venezolano es un apasionado del bolero, de la buena letra y de la bella melod铆a. Tanto es esto que, para Gonz谩lez, la mejor manera de expresar el amor es a trav茅s de un buen bolero pues, para este m煤sico popular el bolero es la expresi贸n m谩s sublime de lo que es el amor. En esta sesi贸n interpretamos el conocido bolero "Me faltabas t煤" del compositor cubano Jos茅 Antonio Mendez (1927-1989). Se trata de una versi贸n bastante particular y desgarradora muy al estilo de los m煤sicos venezolanos.
