Hello Dear friends! I wish all of you who are opening this post a wonderful first Monday of this year 2022!. For those who don't know me I'm Essendi, an artist in training, currently I'm dedicated to drawing and illustration but I have interests in multiple creative areas. I am back with you to continue sharing my work about the current series of portrait studies I am working on.
I have taken the reference image from Pinterest, as I have been mentioning in my previous posts. Once I have finished this series of portraits they will begin to be minted as NFT, this being the first collection of many others during my creative career.
The technique used to make this image is mixed media, which consists of integrating work done with analog materials with digital media.
A little bit of the process.
In a first stage I made the drawing in grayscale by hand with pencil on paper, then I scanned it at a resolution of 300 dpi. Then I made the coloring in the digital tool Phothoshop, the color has been applied in superimposed layers guided by the volumetry defined from the drawing through the gesture of the stroke. The idea of coloring in this way is to leave an evident integration between drawing and stain while covering the work in a faster way without losing coherence with what is being done.
