After finding a parking spot, determining what direction the tide is flowing, is always our first conversation!😊 “See that big rock Silvertop,it’s already wet on the exposed top part, the Tide MUST be going out!”🥰 “Hmmm…… I don’t know Liz, the rock could just be wet from the waves today, I think the Tide is coming back in!”😍 One thing for certain, it was either low tide or close to it!😇 “Chat GPT…… what are the Tide Tables for today?” “Silvertop….. Puget Sound and the Salish Sea, often get mixed semidiurnal tides, meaning: * two highs and two lows per day, * but one low is usually much lower than the other, * and one high is usually higher than the other. Today this is the Tide Table…….. Here’s the clearer picture for Bellingham Bay today: * 11:19 AM low tide: about -1.4 ft → Very low water. Great tidepooling conditions. * 7:30 PM high tide: about 8.6 ft * 12:04 AM low tide (overnight): about 6.7” “So it’s past 11:19 AM Silvertop, so that means the tide is coming back in, I was correct!”🥰 Hmmm………OK😇😍 It really doesn’t matter, High or Low Tide, it’s always nice down at the Ocean, especially with Liz!😊 Happy Saturday everyone, till tomorrow Silvertop Mike 😊
