Don't think I'm too picky; one of my guilty pleasures is having enjoyed things like the Happy Death Day minisaga. I think it's that nostalgia for old VHS gore. We all have different tastes, but I agree with you when you say that movies don't take risks and the best option seems to be to revive some old franchise.
