“Light Painting”
Just received a new camera in advance for my birthday this coming April, thanks to my wife that she was able to squeeze our budget so i can have it. Its a Go Pro 6 and its a very small, handy and cool camera.
Im still experimenting alot of it tho, and preparing to post more videos while im painting. Im always shy posting any videos specially with my face on the screen, with this camera, i can time lapse the whole painting and just add music in it. Can’t wait to paint later and try doing some speed painting test and see how it looks like. But for now i tried doing some test last night with light painting.
Its like 3D painting, and i have lot of idea in mind to make with this type of art, i might need more light sticks soon. Its more on imagining how it would look like and make and image with light in a very dark place, i choose my garage since i painted the flooring, and like a canvas signed the art piece.
Here’s the specification i used in Go pro
- i set my camera to night photo
- Then slide the go pro from the right side to get to the PT Protune Setting
- Then Set the ISO to 200, the lower the number the darker the back ground, so if you have a light source like the moon, its better if its a lower ISO and if you want it brighter on a dark background you can go up to 800
- then whatever you use for ISO should be the same with ISO MAX
- and set up the WB or white balance to 3000, to make the background with a blue tone
I also tried it outdoors and see if i can take a picture of the starts and yes it did a very good job,
For now that the setting i learned using GO Pro, will experiment more and will share with y’all what i learn and together we can create more beautiful art.
