Emily's heart was racing as she stared into the eyes of the stranger. She had never seen anyone like him before. His eyes seemed to bore into her soul, and his skin was deathly pale.
"Who are you?" Emily demanded, trying to keep her voice steady.
The stranger didn't respond. Instead, he simply smiled, revealing a set of razor-sharp fangs. Emily's blood ran cold as she realized that she was face to face with a vampire.
She tried to pull away, but the stranger's grip on her wrist was like a vice. She was trapped.
"Let me go," Emily pleaded, trying to keep her voice calm.
The stranger's smile grew wider, and he leaned in close to Emily's face. She could feel his cold breath on her skin, and she shuddered with fear.
"I'm not going to hurt you," the stranger whispered, his voice low and husky. "At least, not yet."
Emily's heart was racing with fear. She knew that she had to get away from the stranger, but she didn't know how.
Just as she was starting to lose hope, the stranger's grip on her wrist relaxed. Emily took advantage of the distraction to pull away, and she stumbled backward into her apartment.
She slammed the door shut behind her and leaned against it, her heart still racing with fear. She knew that she had to get out of there, to get as far away from the stranger as possible.
But as she looked around her apartment, Emily realized that she was trapped. The stranger was outside, waiting for her. And she knew that she couldn't outrun him.
Just as Emily was starting to lose hope, she heard a noise outside. It sounded like footsteps, heavy and deliberate. The stranger was coming for her.
Emily knew that she had to act fast. She grabbed her keys and her purse, and made a run for the back door. She burst through the door and out into the night, not stopping until she was blocks away from her apartment.
As she walked, Emily couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She kept looking over her shoulder, expecting to see the stranger lurking in the shadows.
But there was never anyone there.
After what felt like hours of walking, Emily finally stumbled upon a small diner. She burst through the door and collapsed onto a stool, exhausted.
The waitress, a friendly woman with a warm smile, came over to take Emily's order. As Emily waited for her coffee to arrive, she couldn't help but think about the stranger.
Who was he? And what did he want from her?
As Emily sat at the counter, sipping her coffee and trying to make sense of the strange events that had just transpired, she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to change forever.
And then, just as Emily was starting to feel safe, the door to the diner burst open and a tall, dark figure strode in.
Emily's heart skipped a beat as she realized that the stranger had found her...
