My love for Afro Music is characterized by my stay in Ibadan. Ibadan is a city located in the western part of Nigeria, it was there that I discovered my love for Afro music. The most amazing thing about Ibadan is the fact that I met the likes of 
When I speak of Simi as my first love, I am speaking of the fact that she is the first Afro favourite musician I have ever had. Though I have encountered so many other amazing Afro musicians after her, but she remains exceptional. At some point some point I got to find it very difficult to determine who is actually my favourite Afro musician, but Simi never stopped having a special place in my heart. Her position as my favourite Afro musician might have been replaced, but she remains exceptional.
At some point my quest for good music caused me to deeply fall in love with highlife. Gradually I started enjoying the likes of Flavour, Timi Dakolo, PC Lapez and some other contemporary highlife singers. At that point my preference shifted a little bit, my love for Simi was divided. My love for highlife finally led me to meeting my favourite (The Cave Men). If not that they are men, I would have referred to them as my second love馃榾.
Kingsley and Benjamin his brother are true Africans, you can hear their Africaness in every of their song. Another amazing thing about them is their style of play. While Kingsley play's the base in an exceptional was Benjamin does magic with the drums. Sometimes it sounds like they are calling on the gods. There are so many things to say about them but I am not gonna speak much, I will allow them speak for themselves in their music. Just take your time and hear from them yourself.
In all, "the cave men" are no doubt my favourite Afro musician. They are not just my favourite, they are for me the most amazing musician I have ever Heard. Thank you guys for going through my post. One love and God bless you.
