Real vs Fake News - Which one is Freedom's Phoenix?
Doug Nusbaum - Bio: I took a degree in engineering math and physics, and a year of graduate work in math but was never good enough to get work in those areas. Did miscellaneous areas including redoing houses. Then went back to school to learn programming (actually used punch cards ). Got work in that area before getting a degree and worked for 25+ years as a kind of gypsy programmer, including Y-2K. Then inherited some money and got a bit of property.

That was, at one time, deemed a terrorist organization by the IRS. Probably because more senior members (I was just a low level member) committed the outrageous acts of terror, viz. getting court restraining orders against the IRS. From there I went to the Libertarian Party where I met Dave Nolan and actually was in a business venture with him. Computerized matchmaking to be exact.
I was a Ron Paul delegate to the 2008 State republican convention. I am trying to write a book based on the ideas expressed in the essay that I wrote after that convention, viz.. Orwell's boot.
Personal:
I met my domestic partner through the above described matchmaking program and we have a 27 YO son. I had a malignant rumor removed from my bladder in 2016, at which time the urologist said that "that bladder has to come out". I declined, did my own research and am now cancer free for over 3 years and have ALL my body parts. Also, I had zero noticeable size effects from 6 mo. of chemo.
I read a lot, almost all non fiction, a bit of politics, and mostly various science. Any politics is almost all from The Economist, or online an occasional article from The guardian. Sometimes an article from the Times, or the Washington Post. I also get Scientific American.
