I am a type that negotiate price before beginning anything contract or performance. After the last time I experienced such, I made the decision. I was invited to a church to play, only to spend my transport without being compensated. At the end of the service, no body agreed to be responsible for my welfare; even the person that invited me. While the person that invited claimed it was the church that asked him to contact a keyboardist, the church claimed they did not budget anything for me😀. I had to leave in anger at the long run
