Hello Steemians 💙
Today I am going to share some really old photos from when I explored Dublin with my friend Fuko from Japan.
These images are from 2014 back when I was only starting out in photography. I had a basic camera, NikonD90 and my 50mm 1.8 lens which I still have to this day.
Fuko is from Osaka
She was only in Dublin for about a year and we ended up being good friends when we met at the Japanese meetup in Dublin that happens once a week on Wednesdays. She wanted to explore Dublin in more depth and take some pictures as she has an interest in photography as well.
I love the Docklands,
as its one of the most beautiful places in Dublin. There are a lot of glass buildings and a lot of the rich people tend to live there as the bank building and other main offices are in the same area.
There is an interesting place a bit further down the Docklands , close to the Aviva stadium where all the sports matches happen. The area has some gorgeous graffiti but also some run down buildings from an older generation.
We walked around all the main areas down the canal and tried to explore as many hidden places as possible
The time flew by and it was getting really dark ❤
Along our small adventure we found a small toy. It was a soldier piece which we decided to hold on to. We called him "Taro" which means older son as a common name suffix.
Taro went everywhere with us and even modeled ❣
To this day I still have Taro in my possession and when I go to Japan I will give him to Fuko as a memory to this day
We also found a really interesting statue at the end of the day which was on a lamp post. We were chatting away and I looked up and saw this creepy thing!
That's it for some photos of Dublin 🏠 🌃 🌇
I know that the photo quality isn't best but it is from 2014 when I was only getting into the photography industry. These images still mean a lot to me and I plan to share another post from Japan with Taro and Fuko when I go there !
Thank you for reading,
Love,
