Each year there's a period when roses start to open and that's my time to do a photo shoot. I do this every year as it's not only a lot of fun, but also a good way to capture nature's beauty at a certain moment. You may say a rose is a rose and that roses are all the same, but I don't agree with such statement. I have a place, a park, where you can find all kinds of roses, one more beautiful than the other.
Roses are not my favorite flowers but from photographic point of view, roses are perfect, except red ones. I'll tell you later why not red.
Look at these tea roses, with those two toned petals. What could be more beautiful?
I started learning drawing two years ago thanks to this platform and the influence of these amazing artists we have in our community. After i started watching video tutorials and practicing drawing, also started to look at flowers (and everything else) from a different point of view.
These petals for example have a texture and so many colors. I'm often thinking of drawing one or two, but lack of time always stops me. I suppose an artist would need a few minutes to draw a rose, but for me it could take a few hours and who knows what will end up with. Anyway, I'm not giving up on my dream, one day I'm going to resume drawing and then these photos will be very useful. Not that are not useful now.
I'm always saying nature is the best artist and these flowers are proving me right.
There was a huge storm on Saturday and unfortunately some roses had to suffer. Not the strong ones though.
Finally a red rose, or should I say a very sh*tty photo? I can't take good photos of red roses. Truth to be told, I only have my mobile phone, no professional camera and maybe I'm lacking skills, but I'll let red roses to others as I'm not good at it.
