I've never been to Singapore but I've read things about it and it seems a famous place for foreigners, but not locals. Many say it's the safest as well, yet I know someone who has been attacked at a conference and woke up in a hospital with a huge black eye, his wedding ring, passport and wallet gone.

It's really sad to know most of the citizens live just to work and barely make ends meet.
