It's not necessarily the numbers, it's how you spin them.
I've seen countless times how the media is interpreting results, what angle they use to lead the herd where they want and that is dangerous. But I agree, you need to see how that data is obtained. Survey agencies tend to pick random people, make calls without knowing where those land and then interpret the data foolishly.
Take everything with a pinch of salt and use your head :)
