Today I'm going to show you another batch batch of the special forces exhibition photos. For me this was a great occasion to learn about the weapons, vehicles, communication tools and other equipment and a great joy to share it with you. I hope some of you have enjoyed browsing through the photos. Most likely there will be a while till I can visit such an exhibition again, but let's not lose hope. Let's see if there will be one next year as well, or in another city or country.
On the second floor of the bastion there was a lot of equipment an ammunition as well.
I'm going to try to explain what you see here. I think the helmet is obvious, no need to indicate which one is it. The two beasts are machine guns, one of 5.45mm and the other is of 7.62mm and a thermal imaging scope model ODIN.50. So I suppose the one at the top is the 5.45mm and the other with the scope is the 7.62mm. If I'm wrong, don't shoot me 😂.
These are airsoft products, replica guns and other equipment. I had a look at the company website and you can buy an airsoft gun for 100€ or even for less, with 100 bullets.
From left to right, you see a guy dressed in army gear, nest, on the upper side of the display you see a main standard parachute PS-01-00M, below the spare parachute PS-02-00. Below there's a backpack for for the transport of military equipment.
A life jacket for paratroopers VS-PST-01, adjustable cover for individual weapons HRAI 001, next to it is a material parachute system and a container.
Rescue parachute, RFS II with Cypres 2 Air Crew. This was a company selling parachutes, flight equipment and military clothing.
This was like paradise, full of goodies for everyone. Obvious I could not buy a helmet as thank God we're not there yet for a military helmet to be needed, but there were gloves and other things you could use, in case you need.
Salomon FORCES military boots. I see you can buy them at $200 $250 or so. The question is where to wear these. Undoubtedly good quality and needed if you're in the field.
And there were these. I guess I should have taken some close up photos of the labels, to be able to tell you which is which ans specifics too, but there was no time.
These were bigger toys for bigger boys. Infantry weapons.
What you see on the left of the photo are bombs of 60 mm caliber, the small ones. The others in the back are of 80 - 81 mm with electronic focus and those next to them are bigger. And two launchers on the ground.
This is a 81mm, long range launcher with deflector.
This is a newer version of the AG7. I saw one years ago, when you could not see weapons like this unless you were in the army, where they were using these. Yeah, I am lucky, I was in the right place at the right time. So I had a chat with the guy on the first floor, the one who offered to take a photo of me with the gun and told him I saw and AG7. He was a bit shocked, he thought I was in the military as he knew very well, you don't see these big toys on every corner.
An there were these. I was laughing after the exhibition as spoke to a friend who was also at the exhibition but at a later time. He told me he picked up one of the assault weapons and thought you could just pick them up, but each of them were tied to the stand. Lol.
So at the top you see an 5.56x45mm assault rifle, model 2021, made in Romania. There are two 7.62x39mm submachine guns on the table, two different models. The one in front of the table is a 7.62x54mm Commando machine gun.
Most of you find these photos fascinating and wish you could be there to hold one, or hold and try all of them. Yes, it seems like a cool activity, but just stop for a minute and try to think differently. Imagine the training those guys went through, for months, years. How much pain and suffering till they get to handle and use these guns. Imagine yourself taking apart a gun like any of these while you have to fin in a certain time frame. The put it together just as fast and maybe blindfolded. Let's not forget that these guns are not toys, these are not like what you hold in your virtual games, far from it.
