A couple of days ago I showed you some photos I took at the Art Nouveau gallery. If you missed the post, you can check it out here.
There were so many cool artworks, I would have been in a great difficulty if I should have chosen just one. Luckily, or sadly for me, this was not an exhibition with sales, so it was for eyes only. This is when having a camera comes in handy.
There were 3 rooms basically, this was the second room, with some artworks from one extreme to the others. Bear with me and you'll see what I mean in a minute.
Composition
This artwork was the first in the room and the first I did not understand. I mean it is obviously a composition, but other than that ... Let me know if you can read what the artist meant with it as i don't. Not that I have to, but it would be nice.
Modern Age
This was an interesting one, also a bit strange or confusing. I took a shot of the front and of the back too as I thought maybe this way we can get the complete picture, but I'm not sure I am able to see what the artist meant. Back in communist days, sculptures placed in public spaces were similar to this one and what I mean by that is rough shapes/forms. No offense, I don't mean this in a wrong way, but that's what this artwork reminds me of.

Watershed
Jokes aside, this was one of the artworks I loved the most. It reminded me of another exhibition I have seen recently. This one is an odd one, but for some reason I like it.
This was the third room, that contained a lot of treasures 馃槀
The Golden Age
As soon as I entered the room I bumped into gold 馃槀. There were 45 bars, 3.5kg each, which meant 157.5kg in total. Pure gold, fine gold, can you believe it? 馃槒
Ares

This artwork had no title.
Another one, without title. I find this one very interesting. I'm not sure if I see the same thing the artist meant, but the cross leaning forward due to the weight of the stone ... it says a lot. I like it, although I'm not very religious.
Prayer Flag
A Tibetan prayer flag is a colorful rectangular cloth, often found strung along trails and peaks high in the Himalayas. They are used to bless the surrounding countryside and for other purposes. Prayer flags are believed to have originated within the religious tradition of Bon. In Bon, shamanistic Bonpo used primary-colored plain flags in Tibet. Traditional prayer flags include woodblock-printed text and images. source
When I saw this piece, I know it must be related to religion somehow, but that was all. Then I say it's called prayer flag. It did not seem familiar in any way as we don't have such thing in my religion, nor have the other religions common in my country.
I took a close up photo, to see what it is and then saw all those small statues. While writing this post, I ran a search and as you can see in the quote above, there's such thing as prayer flag. These small statues seem to look like Buddha? Just guessing. What surprised me was the materials used to create this piece. Seems to be gypsum on lace and if I'm right, then this piece is very fragile.
American Idol
This was another very cool piece, that had no title. I had to take a few shots from different angles as you may not see what I saw at the gallery.
There were two half metal faces on wood. How cool is that!!! I love it!
From this angle, you can only see one face, you don't know there's a second one beneath or behind the first one.
The Forbidden Fruit
This was also a cool one. I bet you don't see much from this point of view, but look at the photo below.

Resting Bird
This is a bit strange as birds don't rest like that, but what do I know.
Selection
When I saw this artwork I thought it's covid 19 as I saw a similar concept not long ago, but I was wrong. It wasn't covid, but this could still be a virus, that makes the selection.
Bird Of The Soul
Snake Or Turtle, As You Like
This was the first artwork, with such a title, where the artist lets you choose what the artwork is. The truth is, the two animals have similar heads, so this could be either of them. While I was taking the photos, was thinking whether the shape of the stone was created by nature, or the artist worked on it to shape it like that.
Hidden Information
And here's the cherry on the cake, I saved the best for last. This is the coolest piece of the exhibition, in my opinion.
Now you may wonder where the information is hidden. Is is in one of those boxes? Or is it in the skull?
There were so many cool artworks displayed in this gallery, that I really consider myself lucky to have been able to see these and also take photos. Every exhibition inspires me to start creating something and I wish I'll have some time to do that.
