This was really fascinating. I'm such a history-nerd. It's interesting to me how much the climate of a region dictated which immigrant groups settled in certain regions. Here in Minnesota we had mostly people from the Scandinavian countries settle here first. Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia had lots of settlers from the UK. As I drive down some of the country roads in Ohio the rolling hills remind me so much of the English countryside.
