Thank you! Yes, 57 is very young these days. I carried around guilt for years about letting some of these friendships drift. It wasn't continuously lingering guilt but it occasionally reared its head when I thought of old friends. I've realized these last few years that it's no one's fault. Thanks for mentioning the essay.
