Thank you Jay! I'm not using my cast iron as much now either that we have an induction cooktop. Unfortunately we found the cast iron damages the glass. I haven't heard about people sanding down the Lodge cookware! Great idea though. There's a company called Smithey that sells new cookware similar to what Griswold made but it's so expensive! All of my cast iron is so well seasoned at this point it's as non-stick as Teflon. Most of mine have been with me now for 20 or so years.
