I know! I see people masking up here all the time when they're alone and outdoors. I don't get it either. I think it just provides them with a false sense of security. I think some people have contracted a form of social anxiety during the pandemic as well, where they feel more comfortable interacting with others while their face is covered. Not just for the fear of getting sick but due to the social anxiety aspect.

The CT scan is to access the arterial/coronary plaque to use as a future baseline. Yeah, I'm leaning against getting it done because, how I see it, is it's more opportunity for them to prescribe statins unnecessarily. There's also the myriad of radiation risks. In the description of the procedure they say one CT scan of this kind is the equivalent of something like five years of normal background radiation we are exposed to on a day-to-day basis. But they say it's "safe and effective". We've all heard that one before.
