I remember before the Bitgrail hack I was in a taxi in NYC in 2018 with the guy I was working on HardFork with and my Blockfolio app sent me a notification that my portfolio hit a crazy number. The euphoria was very short-lived (due to the hack) but unbelievably surreal. What a lesson that was. I probably wouldn't share too much information with anyone if it were to ever happen again. We tried to help some people but not many listened. Most made the wrong moves, and now are resentful. I kind of feel like, with Bitcoin anyway, the only life-changing plays at this point are the long term ones. The barrier to entry is so high now.
