I can't even imagine how rewarding that was to teach your grandmother to read and write! It sounds like you've definitely found your calling in your career. What a blessing. I believe the same thing about how we choose our life's work/mission before we're born. I think whether we suffer depression or feel deep satisfaction it's our soul's way of telling us if we're following our intended path.
