2020 continues to surprise. We just experienced the second largest snowfall on record for October in Minnesota. Nine inches of the white stuff fell within about six hours yesterday.
If it were any other year we would been paralyzed by shock. Since it was 2020 my wife, Amstel, and I took it in stride, put on our cold-weather gear and went walking through the neighborhood to take some photos.
I’ve lived here in the Twin Cities for twenty-five years and have never seen a winter storm hit hard this early. As you can see from the photos, there are still green leaves on the trees. I have to admit the contrast between the autumn colors and bright snow is stunning. We’re all hoping this isn’t a sign of how severe this entire winter will be
